On May 11th, the eighth dust event of the '09-'10 season came into Colorado with strong soutwesterly winds from the Colorado Plateau. In the San Juans, the dust came in without any snow or rain, turning the snow-covered mountains tan. Several satellites captured this event at the source area(s) and the plumes of dust emanating from them into Colorado.
