Researchers Investigating Rio Grand Rift Install GPS at Putney Study Plot

 

 

 

 

Researchers investigating earth-crust spreading from the Rio Grand Rift contracted UNAVCO to install a precision GPS station at the Putney Study Plot site. CSAS facilitated their project's use of the site with the Putney site landowner, Tronox LLC, and assisted in the installation of the gear in September, 2006. UNAVCO is a not-for-profit organization facilitating and operating GPS and other earth crust deformation research equipment world-wide.
